PLAYING TIME WILL NOT BE EQUAL

Everyone will get plenty of time on the court.  Some reasons that playing time varies could include, not giving their best effort, a rotation was screwed up, trying to win a game, they didn’t listen or perform their role, or they violated one of the values/principles.

DO NOT COACH FROM THE STANDS

It is confusing for the kids, especially when you are contradicting the coaches’ instruction.  Stick to cheering, and positive reinforcement.  Your child’s development is dependent on you supporting this and we’re counting on you.

DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE REFS

Refs are human and they make mistakes.  I can assure you they will make far fewer mistakes that your son in a given game.  We will teach our kids that refs are an authority figure and they deserve respect at all times.  Your child’s mistakes will make a bigger difference in the outcome of a game than a refs calls.  Let coaches interact and handle any issues that may arise with a referee’s call.

PROVIDE US FEEDBACK

We encourage feedback.  It is how we can improve and make a better experience for everyone involved with Manitowoc United.  If you’ve got a complaint, give that some time to think about.  Find an appropriate time, in private, to address any issues you may have.
